The Sanità in Naples has always been considered a dangerous neighborhood, where organized crime could stretch its hands with impunity and where kids had little hope in life. A forgotten neighborhood, but rich in history and humanity. Here, for almost 20 years, Priest Antonio Loffredo has arrived and has decided that things had to change, that the most beautiful youth of Naples lived in these alleys and had to have an opportunity. He opened the churches, created cooperatives with local boys, gave hope, showed that another life is possible. It all started with the Paranza, a youth health cooperative that deals with the catacombs of Saint Gennaro and Saint Gaudioso, from which the change spread like a fire. Today entering the numerous churches of the neighborhood it’s not difficult to attend music lessons, theater workshops, boxing training, everything for the local youths, all free. Father Antonio has realized the fertile soil present in these places and has planted seeds of culture and freedom, thanks to him today hundreds of young people can proudly say "I came from Sanità”.
